  1. Contacting the TLC (tlc@yale.edu) to attend an existing workshop or arrange one for your group.
  2. Syllabus materials that are designed to promote interactive participation (for example, not PowerPoint slide presentations).
  3. The number of students is related to student participation. The greater number of students the less each student has the opportunity to engage.
  4. The length of time required for a group of students to remain together in their assigned small group to maximize cohesion and teamwork among learners. For example, we recommend groups staying together for at least one month.
