Medical Education Day at Yale 2013: Timothy VanDeusen M.D., Assistant Professor of Psychiatry receiving his Medical Education Fellowship Certificate from Janet Hafler.
The development of educational scholarship is important to the mission of the Teaching and Learning Center and central to my position as Associate Dean for Educational Scholarship. I aim to help elevate the status of teaching at Yale by developing programs and initiatives to support and reward teaching, and by stimulating and nurturing your educational contributions.
For example, I meet with faculty to consult and collaborate on educational projects. I offer a Medical Education Fellowship that takes place over one year, which requires the participants to design a project in medical education. I am available to help you develop your own educational scholarship that in turn enhances student learning. I would be happy to provide observation and feedback on your teaching or design an educational workshop for your faculty.
Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss any educational issues. My door is always open.
